Hello, my name is Benson (Benny for short) and I was rescued from a puppy mill (Lornich Kennel Raid) on April 23rd 2008. I was living in deplorable conditions and am now finally healthy enough to hopefully find my forever home. However, I am going to need a very special home. I am approximately 5 years old and was abused for all of my life. Therefore, I am a little untrusting of humans. But hopefully with a little love and affection I will relax and live out the rest of my years happily ever after. I also have a very rare disease, it is called Dancing Doberman Disease (DDD). I show no sign of pain and am perfectly capable of running in the yard, chasing a ball or a squirrel, etc. I just prefer to either sit or stand when there is nothing to chase. Even though I have this condition, studies have shown that I will live out my life comfortably as a pet. I will need an experienced Doberman handler as I need very special care. I am house broken and walk very obediently on a leash. A preferable home would be one that is free of cats; I do well with other dogs though. If you think you would be able to provide my forever home, please contact Christa (248-685-9111) with Doberman Rescue of Michigan for further information.
